WE ARE IN THE CULTURE WAR, pure and simple...and it's not as funny as a lot of goings on in the public arena of ideas and policy. The key news figures this week are Jesus, Mel Gibson, the Mass Supreme Court and a rougue mayor from San Fransisco. These figures have all eclipsed Kerry and Edwards and Bush...and even Janet Jackson's boob, for that matter.

It is s surreal news environment, what with misguided Jewish Rabbi's and Catholic higher ups totally misunderstanding Gibson's "Passion," not to mention the liberal media, who is totally clueless....and that juxtaposed with Ann Graham Lotz (Billy Graham's daughter, and herself a speaker and author....not to mention the wife of my dentist) all over TV not answering questions but turning every op into a mini salvation presentation...while gays are getting hitched on the next video clip while some new age non-believing reverend of some sort mis quotes the Bible to justify it.

It's all very strange...a very fast blurr of contradictory messages. But one thing that is not blurred...is the "Passion" movie iteself. Anyone who says it is anti-semitic is just admitting they've not seen it or are so hell bent on raising the spector of anti-semitism that they've lost all credibility.

THE DEAL IS THIS: "Passion" is very true to the Bible...and if you don't like the Bible or believe the Bible..you won't like or believe the movie. Period.

CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS are the LEAST ANTI SEMITIC group on the planet right now. Nobody stands behind Israel like this group, and nobody shares cultural values with Jews like this group....and each Sunday in Bible believing churches love for the Jewish people is expressed.

THE REAL ANTI SEMITES are the liberals...from American libs who vote against Israel at every chance in congress to those in the media who worship the PLO and slam Israel nightly....to liberals in Europe where the anti Jew feelings are approaching 1930 levels.

THE CHARGE OF ANTI SEMITISM aimed at Mel and the movie and any who like the movie is JUST A DIVERSION to cloud the picture by painting conservatives as the problem. No they are NOT. PERIOD.

Don't be fooled by the smokescreen from the media and the religious elites. THE FUNNY THING IS...in Jesus' day, His main message of hypocrisy was aimed at the religious elites of that day....AND THE SAME IS TRUE TODAY. These high and mighty Jewish and usually Catholic authorities, who are out of touch with the rank and file of both Christians and Jews...can sit there and have their ivory tower debates all they want. The message of the movie will drown them out...AND THAT'S WHAT THEY KNOW AND ARE AFRAID OF.

The truth will make you free. (There could be an entire website just on the culture war.....)

FOR YEARS I HAVE PREDICTED that the first black president would be a conservative. In fact, were Colin Powell a conservative, I think he would have been President from 92-2000. I also think the first female to serve will be a conservative. (That leaves you out, Hillary).

I have also thought that perhaps the first black and first woman to serve would be the same person. What do you know...this past week, Dick Morris (former advisor to Clinton, Jesse Helms, Trent Lott, etc and now Fox analyst) said in a speech that Condi Rice stands as good a chance as any Republican as being President in 08. I AGREE.

Morris says that Republicans are "running up a down escalator" due to the browning of America and it's electorate. That may be true....which means there are only two ways Republicans can stay on top. Have EVERYTHING become a color issue...and take advantage of the "white flight" back to the GOP...

.....OR have the reverse. Have someone of color ignite the conservative base and instantenously destroy the perception of the GOP as a racist party. THIS IS WHAT THE CLARENCE THOMAS thing was all about folks....Liberals scared to death of a black conservative icon.

And having Condi on the ticket at the top or in second position....would be delicious. I mean, she's intellgent, tough and right on all the issues. And she could single handedly destroy the Democratic party by the myths her position would slay.

CONDI 2008. I'm on board! Regardless of what happens in 04.......

SECRETARY OF EDUCATION ROD PAIGE recently referred to some of the more militaristic teachers' unions as "terrorist organizations." After this hit the press, he quickly apologized for his comments. Frankly, I don't see a problem.

SERIOUSLY...this is just more of the double standard applied to conservatives and liberals. Paige, who is black, was held to the conservative standard. But how many times have liberal blacks like Carol "Mostly Brown" and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Sheila Jackson Lee and Cynthia McKinney said things much much worse than what Mr. Paige said and gotten a free pass from the media. Answer: just about every time they open their mouths.

Rod Paige is one of the stars of the Bush Administration...the problem is, Mr. Bush and Mr. Rove don't see it that way. Remember, as part of the new tone BS that Bush (from Rove) instituted was to allow Ted Kennedy to write the education bill....neutralizing the impact of having a true reformer like Paige in the cabinet. BRIT HUME gets credit for one of the best quotes of the week....talking about how John Edwards has not been attacknig John Kerry in their primaries....said "and John Edwards, who is clearly running for something.... but who is clearly NOT running for (Democrat nomination) President....."

If you don't get it...you're not paying attention.

MAFIA TYPES aren't known for their "flexibility," but Jimmy Hoffa junior has been doing political advanced yoga-pilates to get his thug union folks on the Kerry bandwagon.

Last week, he said that Kerry was going to repeal NAFTA (Kerry has always supported NAFTA) and start drilling in Alaska for oil (Kerry has always been against drilling in Anwar) as the panel on the cable news channel laughed in his face. But that's ok....he's a liberal Democrat.....what's a few lies and hypocritial stances to these folks? And by the way Mr. Bush and your boy genius, Karl Rove. When they are this dead set against you...what good is a little moderate appeasement? NONE! Take a hint. (coming soon: DumpKarlRove.com).

RUSH IS WRONG: Rush Limbaugh recently made the same mistake on his radio show he made shortly after the Republican Convention in 1992. At that time, with Bill Clinton holding a huge lead over the Bush-Quayle ticket, Rush concluded that he believed in the collective wisdom of the American voter. I did not then nor do I now. That collective wisdom is actually the statistical sum total of what is mostly a bunch of dummies.

Last week the Rushster toned it down just a bit but said he did have faith that the American people would "see through the BS" of the Kerry campaign and his phoney poplulist pap. I'm not so sure they will........

HEY W: how about this for a campagin idea...."IT'S THE SECURE ECONOMY....STUPID!" We need a way to get through to the nit wits that the best way to keep jobs coming is to keep terrorists from 9-11 style attacks...which send our stock market down 35% and ruin thousands of businesses. This is much more important than trying to pretend that protectionist strategies do anything positive about keeping decent jobs here.
